本名Cassandra Ventura的Cassie凭借着出众的外型，从14岁开始便是一名签约模特。但由于出生在一个有着良好音乐氛围的家庭，她一直尝试着在音乐方面也做出成绩。 2005年，Cassie录出一首歌曲《Kiss Me》作为送给母亲的生日礼物，她把这支歌送到纽约Casablanca唱片办公室的一个音乐制作人手里，恰好遇上了前SONY唱片公司总裁Tommy Mottola，这位慧眼发掘出Mariah Carey和Jennifer Lopez的唱片业传奇人物在试听了Cassie的几首歌曲后立刻产生浓厚的兴趣。 (w /)u
