Hassall & Associates International is implementing the China Australia Governance Program on behalf of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), a $20 million initiative mid-way through its six-year lifespan. In partnership with AusAID, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, we are providing technical assistance and capacity building support to advance priority economic and administrative governance reforms in China.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high profile development program with a diverse cross cultural team. You will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring the implementation of a range of sub-projects across areas as diverse as fiscal reform; social security; micro-economic, legal and regulatory reform, and public administration and management.
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with:
A. A strong understanding of China
B. Excellent leadership and management abilities, and a highly consultative style
C. A natural ability to blend strategic vision with practical realities,
D. A desire to seek personal satisfaction through facilitating change in a dynamic and challenging reform environment.
Together with expertise in:
1. One or more priority areas related to CAGP’s governance reform priorities
2. China’s public sector policy and institutional context,
3. Practical program management.
This position is for 3 Years and is based in Beijing. A highly attractive remuneration package will be negotiated.
