The Nature Conservancy (TNC) China Program is looking for a talented and dedicated person to assist with fundraising and public relations work. This position is aimed at strong bilingual candidates with fluent written and spoken English and Chinese and a strong interest in promoting nature protection and conservation in China. The Philanthropy Officer will provide crucial support to the international communications and fundraising efforts of the China Program.

This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading a variety of fundraising-related tasks, including writing proposals and reports, coordinating fundraising efforts with in-country program staff as well as out-of-country regional staff, and coordinating donor/VIP visits to our offices and projects in northwest Yunnan Province. The position will be based in the Kunming office and will involve some work-related travel. This position will report to the Country Program Director and work closely with other communications and project staff.
Key Duties: ^PC\E}
1. Serve as the main fundraising coordinator for the China Program, linking China Program project Officers and senior Officers with fundraising staff at the regional and global level. xo(k?+P>.
2. Draft, edit and finalize philanthropy-related materials, including proposals, reports, letters and other forms of communication. <^Nk.E
3. Work together with senior Officers and regional fundraising staff to establish fundraising priorities and strategies to accomplish them. Track fundraising progress together with Program Finance Officer and report to senior management. x:qr \Rz
4. Assume responsibility for the coordination of international donor and VIP visits to TNC project sites in northwest Yunnan. lcCJ?!lsSW
5. Represent the China Program to outside parties, including giving general overview presentations on the Conservancy’s work in China. @LcT-3 u
6. Serve as a main contact point and information resource for the China Program. Ensure the smooth flow of information between outside parties and program staff.
